Aphasia is what happens when you combine the gore of Evil Dead with the character traits of Twin Peaks. It follows Sarah after a failed hanging due to the stress of her work. During the suicide attempt, she watches herself leave her body leaving it an empty shell for anything to crawl in. She is brought back and is not alone. With the help of an ex-priest and rouge exorcist, they fight to expel what has taken over Sarah's body and save her soul. Holly, Cali and Mel, three girls celebrating the Christmas holidays at Mel's house the night before Christmas eve. Cali convinces them to go out and have some fun when the others feel like just going to bed (Cali's role as instigator of problems continues throughout the movie). The girls are led to a deserted mansion filled with expensive cars and booze (having been told it's Cali's uncles place). The plot is mostly based around the psychological mechanisms that can take hold when a stupid mistake ends up as a threat to a young persons future well-being and how normal morals can be overwhelmed by indulgent, half-baked ideas of self-preservation.

After losing their only grandson in a car accident, grief-stricken Audrey (Sheila McCarthy) and Henry (Julian Richings), a doctor, kidnaps his pregnant patient with the intentions of performing a "reverse Exorcism", putting Jackson inside her unborn child.
