On this weeks show, we talk with Michael Berryman!

Michael is known for The Devils Rejects, One Flew Over the Cukoo's nest, The Hills have Eyes and so much more! Michael can be found playing Crau in the upcoming Harrison Smith movie Death House.

Late 1970s horror genre icon who's best known for his creepy performance as "Pluto" in the uncompromising Wes Craven horror film The Hills Have Eyes (1977). Berryman (who suffers from Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia, a rare condition leaving him with no sweat glands, hair, fingernails or teeth) reminds one of a latter-day Rondo Hatton who also suffered from a rare medical condition that distorted his features giving him a brutish look just right for horror movies.

To Berryman's credit, he managed to develop upon his "Pluto" character, and has turned up in numerous sci-fi / fantasy movies such as My Science Project (1985), Weird Science(1985), Armed Response (1986) and Evil Spirits (1990). The tall & lean Berryman generally portrays mutant bikers, evil undertakers, monsters and other frightening characters! A genuine favorite of horror movie fans.

Jeremiah Kipp's directing credits include "Black Wake" starring Tom Sizemore, "Pickup" starring Jim True-Frost, "Edward Albee: A Transformative Moment" starring Mercedes Ruehl and Bill Irwin, "The Sadist" starring Tom Savini, "The Pod" starring Larry Fessenden, "Contact" (commissioned by Sinister Six annual screening series), "The Days God Slept", "Easy Prey" (commissioned by NYC's annual VisionFest), and "The Apartment" (commissioned by Canon to premiere their XL2 at DV Expo 2004). Producing credits include the feature films "Satan Hates You" (created by Glass Eye Pix, starring Angus Scrimm, Michael Berryman and Reggie Bannister), "In Montauk", "The Jonestown Defense" starring Amy Seimetz and "The Bed-Thing" (directed by Pulitzer Prize-nominated Matt Zoller Seitz).

Lisa Wilcox is BACK to acting full time after a furlough, raising her boys and married to corporate world for a couple decades. She is excited about a slew of 2016 projects including Clinger that was accepted at the Slamdance Film Festival 2015, Red Hallow, William Froste, Mystery Spot and Something Horrible. Lisa has performed in over 100 film, television, commercial and theatre productions, starting her career in Equity Waiver theatre, then completing her Bachelor of Arts degree at UCLA, Lisa went on to play the lead role of "Alice" in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), directed by Renny Harlin. Due to the phenomenal box office success of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), Lisa played "Alice" once again in A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989), directed by Stephen Hopkins. Lisa has played nun to prostitute. Comedy, soap operas and episodic dramas. She was a regular in the television series, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures (1992), Knots Landing (1979), General Hospital (1963) and numerous guest starring roles. Some of her television highlights include her portrayal of "Carol Brady/Florence Henderson" in the TV movie, Unauthorized Brady Bunch: The Final Days (2000), and in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), portraying the part of "Yuta". This episode, Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Vengeance Factor (1989), became so prolific, that "Yuta" is featured on the "Star Trek: Next Generation Monopoly Board"! Other film credits include Men Seeking Women (1997), starring Will Ferrell, and she co-starred with Mark Hamill in Watchers 4 (1998). Notably, Lisa played the lead in the student foreign short film, The All New Adventures of Chastity Blade (2000) (or "The All New Adventures of Chastity Blade"), which was nominated for an Academy Award.

Lassiter Holmes, Born in Fort Hood, Texas, Lassiter has had three careers as an aspiring professional athlete, attorney and now as an actor. A native Houstonian, Lassiter graduated from Strake Jesuit High School, Southern Methodist University B.A. History, and The University of Tulsa School of Law, JD. In 1981 Lassiter was recruited out of high school by Ron Myer to play tight end for SMU. He then began working in the legal field in 1984 and after obtaining his law degree he practiced for ten years as a trial and appellate attorney in South Texas. After landing in some legal hot water, Lassiter was disbarred and served a sentence for a white-collar crime. During this period, Lassiter was encouraged to audition for some local roles and was cast as an extra in "Jacob" (2011). While on set Director Larry Wade Carrell liked what he saw and cast Lassiter as Leroy resulting in one of Larry's favorite scenes in the movie. John Langridge trained at Rose Bruford College in Kent before embarking as a career as an actor.

Deciding eventually that his real passion lay in film, he retrained at Panico Studios in London where he gained his diploma in film production.

His debut feature Four (2011) Premiered at the Empire Leicester Square in October 2011

Greg Draven was born on March 20, 1976 in Eastbourne, England. He is an actor and producer, known for The Hunt for Gollum (2009), Impatient Patient Disorder (2016) and 13 Graves (2018).

13 Graves is a low budget folk horror feature film, written, produced and to be directed by John Langridge. The project is currently scheduled to film on location in Sussex from late October. As with all low budget films, this is a labour of love and deep commitment from cast and crew, and every penny will count. Community engagement and involvement is a central aim, and the project is beginning to draw both community and corporate support to put Eastbourne and Sussex on the film-making map.

The film festival runs from October 26th until 29th 2017

The NYCHFF is an international film festival and accepts films and screenplays from around the globe. The NYCHFF holds no “completion date” or “world premiere” status regulations.

Sean has been with the NYCHFF since 2004, after working with Michael Hein on Dead Serious. Starting in 2008, he has been the Festival Head Of Staff. A longtime fan of surrealist and Italian horror, he cites Mario Bava, Lucio Fulci, and David Cronenberg among his favorites. Sean serves as our programming director and is currently on our screening panel for both shorts and features. When not knee-deep in festival activities, he makes a living in post-production. He thinks Chris Rowan is very pretty.

Johanna Rae was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas and is an American actress. As a teen Rae was a champion track star and went on to become a Division 1 track and field athlete. Rae then became a successful print and swimsuit model, representing Hawaiian Tropic as a Texas finalist. Rae followed her true passion and worked hard to become a working actress. She has starred and co-starred in numerous films and was recently cast as the lead in the paranormal thriller DARK WORLD. She also has performed at the Whitefire Theater in Sherman Oaks and trains at the Ruskin school of acting under John Ruskin. Rae enjoys maintaining her athleticism by running and studying various martial arts. Her talent and versatility marks her as one of today's rising stars.
